REAL MEETS SURREAL: JONES'S UPCOMING SERIES IN THE MAKING

12.29.2008

A new collection of Alyson Jones's acrylic work is in the making. Check back soon for the artist's innovative new genre of "Real Meets Surreal", where Jones uses her realistic style to bridge the gap between tangible, intangible, dream, and reality.

Some of Jones's upcoming works will include: "Fleeting Ink", in which tattoos spring to life upon their surfaces, and "In my Tub", which places an antique bathtub in a fantastical, dream-like landscape. Jones's new series of photo-realistic fantasy is intended to dramatize her naturalistic technique.

Jones speaks of her upcoming series of acrylic work:

"As an enormous fantasy fan, I asked myself why I had only dabbled in fantastical imagery. I decided to merge my interest in the real with my love for the imaginary. I'm very excited for what is yet to come."
